The New Hope Financial Counselor Training Program

A program designed to fully equip the Counselor candidate to assist individuals and families in gaining control of their financial situation and help them accomplish their worthwhile personal, family, and community goals.

The Financial Counselor Training program was developed to give individuals, churches and other organizations the opportunity to set up a Financial Fitness Program in their own congregation and community. The New Hope Financial Fitness Program is a fee based financial counseling service that has the potential of being self-supporting (a spreadsheet is available on request). This becomes a unique advantage to smaller churches where ministry funds are limited. Another advantage is that the pastor and/or pastoral staff can refer people that are experiencing financial challenges to the counselor thereby freeing up their time for ministry in other areas.

Regularly scheduled two-day Counselor training sessions give the candidate the following tools and training:

• Policies and Procedures Manual

• Client Kit - includes a Budget Box, software, & Budget trackers

• New Hope software program

• 12 hours of Classroom Training

• Counselor Kit - Materials needed to start a new center

Training is currently scheduled to be held at Lake Pointe Baptist Church, 701 E. Interstate 30, Rockwall, Texas, 75087.
